This award recognizes an exceptional young professional who has made a significant impact within the tunnelling and underground space industry. Whether through outstanding achievements, leadership in technically complex projects, or pioneering innovative solutions, this individual has demonstrated remarkable promise and commitment to advancing the field.

Eligible candidates in this category represent individuals born on or after January 1, 1989.

Evaluation Criteria:

The judging panel will assess candidates based on their personal contributions to the industry, focusing on:

• Leadership & Impact – Driving their team, project, or organization towards technical and commercial success.
• Exceeding Expectations – Delivering results that surpass client and stakeholder expectations.
• Commitment to Industry Advancement – Demonstrating a passion for improving tunnelling practices and methodologies.
• Tangible Contributions – Making a measurable difference in their workplace, project, or the broader tunnelling community.

Additional Considerations:

Judges will also evaluate how the nominee has addressed specific challenges faced by the industry, their company, or their project, showcasing resilience, ingenuity, and leadership.

Submission Requirements:

Each nomination must be supported by at least two independent references, including one from a current or former superior who can attest to the nominee’s achievements and potential.
