Winners of the 9th ITA Tunnelling Awards

Since 2015, the international competition seeks and rewards remarkable achievements in the tunnelling and underground industry. Organized by the International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association, the event both showcases the most ambitious underground projects all over the world as well as latest innovations, techniques, and methods in tunnelling. The 9th edition of the
ITA Tunnelling and Underground Space Awards took place in Mumbai, India in conjunction with the Tunnelling Asia 2023 conference of TAI, the Tunnelling Association of India.

Toulouse. Un célèbre inventeur Britannique à l'honneur dans le métro

Mercredi 15 décembre, une oeuvre en bronze a été installée dans la station de métro Jean Jaurès sur une des passerelles de la ligne A. Ce bas-relief, réalisé par le sculpteur Sébastien Langloÿs, est le trophée remis lors du prix " ITA Tunnelling Awards", un concours international, organisé par l'Association Internationale des Tunnels et de l'Espace Souterrain (AITES), qui récompense les plus grands projets qui émergent à travers le monde, les technologies les plus innovantes ou encore l'utilisation la plus originale des espaces souterrains.

China Railway : CREC Wins Two ITA Tunneling and Underground Space Awards

In recent days, the Conference and Exhibition of the 7th International Tunneling and Underground Space Association (ITA) Tunneling Awards 2021 was held virtually, selecting seven winners among the 24 competing projects and individuals. The Large-diameter shield tunnel engineering project in karst strata of sea area in the Barracuda Bay, a full-line control project of Dalian Metro Line 5, won the award of Project of the Year. The project was invested by the China Railway Group Limited (CREC), designed by China Railway Northern Investment Group and constructed by the First Engineering Bureau of CREC.
