Entries from across the world comprising nine railway and metro projects, three road projects, two water sector projects, eight projects representing areas of technological advances, beyond engineering and equipment innovations; and three young engineers of the future making their way in the underground construction industry are among the 25 finalists of the 10th series of the ITA Tunnelling Awards, Tunnelling Journal reports.

It is an honour and a privilege for the ITA to confirm and present the 25 finalists of the 2024 series of the ITA Tunnelling Awards. Shortlisted in seven different categories by the Panel of Judges, the 25 finalists represent all sectors of underground infrastructure design, construction and management.

The International Tunnelling Association (ITA) has announced the finalists for its 2024 awards. The finalists are selected to go forward to a second round of judging and to be the topics of presentation and roundtable discussion at the ITA Awards Symposium on Nov. 28 in Genoa, Italy. Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards Trophies will then be awarded ahead of the day’s grand gala dinner celebrations.

The finalists for the 2024 International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association (ITA) Tunnelling Awards have been revealed, highlighting some of the most innovative and transformative projects in underground infrastructure across the globe. This year, 25 finalists have been selected from over 100 entries submitted by 19 countries, showcasing cutting-edge solutions in tunnelling and underground space projects.

The ITA Tunnelling Awards has announced the shortlist for the ITA Tunnelling Awards 2024. Over 100 applications from 29 countries were evaluated by the panel of international judges. The finalists in the seven categories can now be revealed with the winners announced on 28^th November 2024 and rewarded at the annual ITA Awards conference in Genoa, Italy.
