For the 2017 edition of the ITA Tunnelling Awards event will take place on the 15th of November 2017, in Paris during the AFTES 15th International Congress from 13 to 16 November 2017.
The AFTES Congress with the general theme of «The value is underground », will highlight the latent value of underground space as a means of developing our living spaces, especially if urban planning harnesses it to establish a symbiosis between ground-level and underground. It will also focus on the abundance of, and the necessity of interweaving know-how and disciplines that are crucial to providing those spaces with a sustainable life.
ITA Tunnelling Awards Conference and Banquet Dinner on November 15th. On this day, finalists will present their achievements, and describe the unique and innovative features that convinced the judges to select their projects. A broad array of the most impressive tunnelling works, as well as innovations and excellence in engineering, safety, sustainability initiatives and underground space concepts, from around the world will be presented. This conference will be a unique opportunity to discover, learn and share the outstanding projects and the recent state-of-the art practices. The event will also be a day for networking, and an opportunity for global and local companies to present their services and technologies as part of our dedicated sponsoring program. But as well to reward the Younger Tunneller of the industry and to give an awards for Life Time achievement.
